Upon learning of a sailboat for sale at a significantly reduced price in the same region, they had hired the services of an old friend prior to flying there in aid of its acquisition.Rather than contracting out a transport for bringing their new find back to America, the couple chooses to share their love of the sea with their two children, wishing instead to sail it back home to Narragansett, RI themselves. Disregarding any original plans of doing so two months later, the family instead hastily sets off on an ill-advised September launch back to the States. The two parents come to learn making such a transatlantic voyage is far a more ominous undertaken than any of their prior coastal yachting incursions made along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard. Instead, faced with over three thousand miles of an unforgiving ocean to cover and an unfriendly weather climate awaiting them, they are destined to learn the harsh consequences of having made such a gross oversight.Whatever becomes of the family, those of us presently able to live with the hopes and wishes of tomorrow can attribute such an outlook to their legacy. Taking place mostly in 1985 and coinciding with true events of the past, the main emphasis of Inside Gloria centers on a common American family experiencing extraordinary events.Thank you for your interest.RJ Boucher
